ICT Team of FKIP ULM Supports Seminar and Performances Day 1: Banjarese Local Wisdom

Banjarmasin – On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the English Education Study Program (PBI) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), held the first day of the Seminar and Performances on Banjarese Local Wisdom at the Hasan Bondan Hall, FKIP ULM. The event was attended by more than 75 participants, including students, lecturers, and members of the public.

ICT Support

The ICT Team of FKIP ULM provided full technical support, ensuring the readiness of audio-visual equipment, seminar material projection, and digital documentation. Their presence enabled all participants to follow the event smoothly and without interruption.

Event Highlights

The first day began with student performances as part of the final project for the course English for Banjarese Local Wisdom. These performances served not only as educational entertainment but also as a tangible expression of local culture-based learning.

The event continued with a seminar titled “Banjarese Songs as Cultural Preservation,” featuring two speakers:

  • Sirajudin, a Banjar artist and composer of the song Baras Kuning, who shared insights on the meaning, essence, and creative process behind Banjar music.
  • Ridho Amalia, Principal of SDN 1 Sungai Besar and member of the Banjarbaru City Arts Council, who emphasized the importance of encouraging younger generations to preserve regional songs amid the growing influence of global culture.

Day Two
ICT Team of FKIP ULM Supports Seminar and Performances Day 2: Banjarese Local Wisdom

Banjarmasin – On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the second day of the Seminar and Performances on Banjarese Local Wisdom took place at the Tumpang Lima Field, FKIP ULM. The atmosphere was lively and festive, featuring a variety of artistic performances by students from the English Education Study Program (PBI) FKIP ULM.

ICT Support

For this outdoor event, the ICT Team of FKIP ULM played a crucial role in managing sound systems, lighting, and performance documentation. Their technical support ensured that every student performance could be enjoyed optimally by all participants and spectators.

Event Highlights

The second day presented a series of traditional Banjar art performances, including:

  • Radap Rahayu Dance, Banjar Mask Dance, and Japin Banjar Dance
  • Storytelling of Banjar folktales such as Raja Patmaraga and Sukmaraga and Luhuk Badangsanak
  • Traditional Banjar songs including Baras Kuning, Anak Pipit, and Ampar-Ampar Pisang
  • Poetic performances using traditional Banjar language and proverbs

The event’s chief organizer, David Christian Pardede, expressed his pride and appreciation. He shared that he was deeply impressed by the participants’ enthusiasm, the quality of the seminar, and the students’ creativity, which exceeded expectations.
