Banjarmasin – The Physics Education Study Program (PS Pendidikan Fisika) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), successfully held a training event titled “STEM-Robot Coding Learning” for physics teachers on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Teacher Centre Room, PPG FKIP ULM. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, requiring full technical and technological support from the ICT Team of FKIP ULM.
The ICT Team played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event, from providing equipment and internet connectivity to managing the hybrid system so that both on-site and online participants and speakers could interact seamlessly. This technical support was a key factor in the event’s success, especially since the training involved programming practices and the use of Studuino robotic devices.
In addition to handling technical needs, the ICT Team also supported the event’s digital documentation, ensuring that each stage was well-recorded for publication and archiving purposes. This collaboration demonstrated that the role of ICT goes beyond providing technical services—it is also strategic in supporting digital transformation in education.
According to Dewi Dewantara, Secretary of the Physics Education Study Program, ICT’s support was essential to optimizing technology-based activities.
“Through collaboration with the ICT Team, the training was able to run smoothly, allowing participating teachers to focus more on the learning process without being disrupted by technical issues,” she stated.
Thus, the success of the “STEM-Robot Coding Learning” training was not only due to the contributions of the speakers and participants but also the vital role of ICT in ensuring that technology-based teaching and learning processes could be carried out effectively.
