Banjarmasin – The Undergraduate Program (S-1) in Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), in collaboration with the Postgraduate Programs (S-2 and S-3) in PBSI ULM, held a National Seminar themed “Enhancing Critical Literacy Competence Through Indonesian Language Learning” on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Lecture Theatre Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) ULM.
The event featured three speakers: Djoko Saryono (Professor at Universitas Negeri Malang), Jumadi (Professor of PBSI FKIP ULM), and Armiaty Rasyid (Head of the South Kalimantan Language Office). With participation from lecturers and undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, this national-scale seminar required robust technical support to ensure smooth proceedings.
The ICT Team of FKIP ULM provided full support, including the setup of presentation equipment, management of audio-visual systems, and ensuring the smooth process of documentation and digital publication. The presence of the ICT Team played a vital role in enabling the speakers to deliver their materials effectively and ensuring that both on-site and online participants could enjoy an uninterrupted learning experience.
According to the organizing committee, the success of this event was inseparable from the ICT Team’s contribution in maintaining the reliability of technological infrastructure. Moreover, the digital documentation produced by the ICT Team serves as an important archive and a means of promoting PBSI ULM’s academic activities to the wider public.
With ICT’s support, the National Seminar on Critical Literacy not only became an academic forum but also a tangible example of how technology can enhance the quality of academic activities within FKIP ULM.
