Kupang, June 21, 2024 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Nusa Cendana University (Undana), successfully held the 2nd National Seminar on Educational Sciences (SNIP) 2024 at the 2nd Floor Hall of FKIP Undana. The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Jefri S. Bale, ST., M.Eng, Vice Rector IV, representing the Rector of Undana.

The seminar, which featured three professors in the fields of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology, discussed the importance of integrating technology to enhance the quality of the teaching and learning process.

The three keynote speakers were:

  • Prof. Dr. Adi Atmoko, M.Si., M.Pd – Director of the Postgraduate Program, Universitas Negeri Malang, Professor of Educational Psychology.
  • Prof. Dr. I Nyoman S. Degeng, M.Pd – Professor of Instructional Technology, Universitas Negeri Malang.
  • Prof. Dr. Petrus Ly, M.Si – Professor of Instructional Technology, Nusa Cendana University.

The Dean of FKIP Undana, Dr. Drs. Malkisedek Taneo, M.Si, stated that this national seminar was specifically designed for lecturers, aiming to strengthen technology-based teaching skills in the context of 21st-century learners.

Throughout the event, the ICT Team of FKIP Undana played an active role in ensuring the smooth execution of activities—from preparing presentation devices and managing audio-visual systems to handling documentation and digital publication through FKIP Undana’s official channels. With the ICT Team’s support, the entire event ran smoothly, efficiently, and was well-documented.

The Vice Dean II of FKIP, Dr. Jacobis J. Messakh, M.Si, emphasized that the seminar was one of the faculty’s initiatives to continuously refresh and update knowledge in instructional technology. The presence of the ICT Team was crucial to ensure that the seminar content was delivered effectively to participants from diverse backgrounds.

Participants of the seminar included representatives from LLDIKTI Region 15, lecturers from eight partner universities in Kupang, FKIP Undana faculty members, students, and officials from provincial, city, and regency education departments.

With strong technological support and ICT services, this national seminar is expected to broaden academic insights and promote more innovative technology-based learning practices in the field of education.
