Banjarmasin – To strengthen information synergy between departments and enhance public relations capacity within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), the FKIP Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH) held a two-day Public Relations Training on Wednesday–Thursday, August 6–7, 2025, at the FKIP ULM Meeting Room.

The event carried the theme “Optimizing the Role and Function of Departmental Information Publication to External Audiences” and was attended by the Head of ICT FKIP ULM, Nuruddin Wiranda, who also served as one of the speakers during the training session.

From the ICT FKIP ULM’s perspective, this activity was a strategic effort to promote digital information synchronization between the department and faculty levels while introducing the use of information technology platforms such as the Pantau application. The app is designed as an integrated storage and content distribution system, enabling departments to publish their news systematically and in alignment with FKIP’s official communication channels.

During the session led by the ICT Head, participants—consisting of department secretaries, operators, and student organization (HIMA) publication officers—received technical training on digital news management and synchronization. They were also reintroduced to the 5W+1H-based straight news format, which serves as the standard for campus journalism.

“Digital literacy and technical public relations skills are essential, especially in today’s fast-paced information era. Our ICT team remains committed to supporting this collaboration through system development, training, and communication platform integration,” said Nuruddin Wiranda during the session.

The event was well-received by participants. One of them, Umar, stated that the training was highly beneficial in broadening their understanding of the strategic role of digital-based public relations. He expressed hope that similar training sessions would continue, exploring deeper topics in line with technological advancements.

Through this training, ICT FKIP ULM strengthened its role as a technical partner in the faculty’s digital transformation, particularly in ensuring the delivery of fast, accurate, and well-coordinated information.
