Banjarmasin – The Department of Social Science Education (JPIPS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), successfully held The 4th International Conference on Social Science Education (ICSSE) 2024 on Saturday, October 4, 2024, at the General Theatre Building, ULM. With the theme “The Role of Communities in Wetland Ecosystem Management to Support Sustainable Development”, the event welcomed over 200 on-site participants and featured speakers from both domestic and international institutions.

As an international-scale event, the conference required comprehensive technical support. The ICT Team of FKIP ULM provided full services, including preparation of presentation equipment, audio-visual systems, internet connectivity for hybrid sessions with international speakers, and digital documentation. The presence of the ICT Team was crucial in enabling speakers from Australia, Malaysia, and the UK to participate seamlessly, even when attending online.

Beyond supporting smooth content delivery, the ICT Team also ensured that parallel paper presentation sessions with 43 presenters ran without technical issues. Event documentation was managed professionally, suitable for both international publication and academic archiving for JPIPS.

According to the organizing committee, the success of ICSSE 2024 was not only determined by the scientific content presented by the speakers but also by the vital role of ICT in ensuring that all aspects of the event ran smoothly. This support highlights the commitment of the FKIP ULM ICT Team to overseeing digital transformation in the execution of national and international academic events.
